Might be the only page not by Steve? UPDATE it is by Steve see comment by Lew below.though Steve is good at ghosting other artists..so could be wrong..






When I saw this comic as a kid...I rememeber it well..this comic was different a continuous story throughout. I thought how nice all the artists got together to draw a page each with there own characters...later talking to Steve Bright he said he drew it all...so it fooled me..

Steve also said he wasn't allowed to sign his work at that time But sneaked it in also the writers name..which I can't find as it is so small and hidden.

So this was really a Steve Bright comic..

Steve Brights Desperate Dan

Heres an unusual comic library.
A comic artist starts drawing the first couple of pages... then for some reason stops..then the new artist finishes it off. Steve Bright is the artist who did the honour. Though they don't blend together at all its fun to read and see.

Peter, thanks for doing that - it hasn't improved any with age! the initial pages were drawn by Peter Davidson ('The Broons' and 'Oor Wullie' artist), and I had forgotten that the cover was done by DCT staff artist, Jimmy Glen. I can't recall why Peter couldn't complete the library, nor indeed why Jimmy did the cover at a time when I was doing many of the covers for the other libraries (perhaps Ian had decided I'd made enough of a pig's ear of the inside pages). So it's a bit of an oddity all round. -Steve Bright
