Did Tom Paterson draw any Sweeny Toddlers in Shiver and Shake?

18th August 1973. Shiver and Shake.

26th January 1974. Shiver and Shake.

22nd September 1973. Shiver and Shake.

26th May 1974. Shiver and Shake.

Whoopee!! 30th October 1976. Heres a signed one.

It is hard to tell the difference between these top artists. Tom Paterson and Leo Baxendale.

If all of the above are Leo Baxendale then let me know...I'm willing to be wrong..

Maybe Tom ghosted a few...

I think the black and white ones are all Leo, but I'm open to correction!

Looks like the Shiver and Shake ones were all done by Leo Baxendale with some half page ones done in Whoopee and Shiver and Shake before Tom Paterson propley took over..in April 1975.

Its amazing how close in style Tom and Leo are..

Tom's work is close to Leo's because he would have been asked to ghost Leo's style. However he was a huge fan of Leo Baxendale's work anyway, so relished drawing in that style. Tom really mastered that 1970s Baxendale style and produced some very funny work in its own right.

As you know, Tom also developed his own distinct style when he was drawing School Belle and Buster. Later, he developed that style even more when he did Captain Crucial and Watford Gapp for Buster.
