Beano comic libraries 31-60

this one is a classic...Black Bob the Dandy wonder dog and Dennis the Menace and Gnasher all drawn by David Sutherland. Its fun seeing the cartooney style mixing with a more serious style. This is why the comic libraries are so special and one long story can add so much to a character and explore new avenues.

Loved this one as a kid....lots of Beano characters all at once.

Steve Bright drew this cover.(not the inside bit) one of the first things he drew for DC Thomson 1984.

The Jonah one is drawn by John Geering who does a great job in bringing Ken Reids character to life.

Could do with a better scan of issue 31.if anyone can help please email me it to

Thank you

11th April 1982 started the Beano comic library collection.
what lovely memories these bring up...often read by me at the beach on holiday.
The first one I read was my cousions (Stephen a cartoonist like me) one at Bournmouth..Beano library number 9 Dennis the Menace sun fun.
I started collecting from number 11 Minnie home help.remember that huge Jam sandwiche Minnie made even now...and giving Dad a jammy kiss on the cheek.
