Wonder if those men are based on anyone...it has a bit of a caricature.

The caricature seems to be based on Kenny Everett for some reason.

The Shiner strip is by Mike Lacey, but as with the Big Kidds, the scene at the top of the page is by Jimmy Hansen.
I've completely forgotten who the kid wearing the medal is after all these years...
