Toy Boy was drawn by Terry Bave here it is drawn in his style by Brian Walker...

It looks like Brian missed drawing Ghost Train and would love to bring it back some how!!

Tom's work was at its peak and what a lovely surprise to see this gem...
This is from Oh-No! comic which never came out But was tested out to see what school children thought..it was all very positive though sadly never released due to change of company...One of the worst things to happen to comics....a horrible moment...loads of comic artists had to retire or go to DC Thomson or others for work.

Tom Paterson's sock!!

Its a nice nod to Tom Paterson who was drawing Sweeny Toddler in the same comic Whizzer and chips 5th October 1985..
As everyone knows Tom Paterson drew a smelly sock as  a trademark...so Sid Burgon who drew Joker is suggesting its Tom with the smelly feet!!  Nice one Sid..it made me smile..

These are great pieces for studying and also trying to find the hidden objects as well..

This feature went on for 7 years and later years was Our Village which had modern children of the 60's in the picture...These are mini masterpieces and would make great jigsaws today...

There does not seem to be a thread dedicated to School Fun here, so I shall create one. School Fun was another short-lived but fondly remembered funny comic. It was dedicated to funnies with school themes. It was launched on 15 October 1983, but only lasted for 33 issues before merging with Buster on 1 June 1984. While it lasted it produced some memorable strips such as Schoolditz and E.T.T. (Extra Terrestrial Teacher). The lineup for School Fun was: Junior Ed Softy Sir Coronation Street School Creepy Crawler Test Yourself Page Time Bus Walt Teaser B.Ware - Caretaker The School Team E.T.T. (Extra Terrestrial Teacher) Grange Hill Juniors Teachers United Ho-Ho Homework Schoolditz Young Arfur School Belle Later strips: Willy Wonty Slowcoach (started with Buster merger)
